Frequently Asked Questions
What is my USDA Growing Zone?
Please check the site (https://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/) and find the Growing Zone.
Where do you ship?
We ship to all continental U.S. states, excluding Alaska, California and Hawaii. Unfortunately, we’re unable to ship to American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands at this time. Our mission is to provide high-quality trees, plants, and greenery to as many customers as possible within the contiguous United States.
Who handles your shipping?
We currently partner with UPS and Fedex for shipping due to their reliability and efficiency. While we aren’t able to accommodate requests for other carriers at this time, we’re always exploring ways to improve and may expand our options in the future.
What are your shipping costs?
Shipping is available at a flat rate of $19.95. However, orders over $199 qualify for free shipping! Keep an eye out for special promotions offering free shipping by subscribing to our email list—you’ll also receive updates on exclusive deals and new offers.
When will my order ship?
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1-3 business days. We don’t ship on weekends or major holidays, and in cases of severe weather, we may delay shipments to ensure your plants arrive in perfect condition.
How long does shipping take?
Delivery times vary by location. Most orders arrive within 2-3 days, though shipping to the West Coast or northeastern states may take 3-5 days. Inclement weather may also impact delivery times, but rest assured, we’ll always prioritize the health of your plants.
How can I track my order?
Once your order ships, we’ll email you a tracking number within 1-3 business days. Please allow 1-2 days for the tracking details to update after receiving the notification.
My package says delivered, but I can’t find it.
If your tracking shows “delivered” but you don’t see the package, check for delivery photos from UPS or ask neighbors in case it was delivered nearby. Sometimes, packages are marked delivered a little early. If it doesn’t show up within 48 hours, contact us at sales@planthropi.com, and we’ll help resolve the issue.
My order arrived damaged—what should I do?
If your package looks damaged upon arrival, you can refuse delivery, and it will be returned to us. If you’ve already accepted it, email us immediately at sales@planthropi.com with photos of the damage to the box and plants. We’ll file a claim with our carrier and work to resolve the issue quickly.
Can I return my order?
Due to the delicate nature of plants, we don’t accept returns. However, if your plants arrive significantly damaged or there’s a mistake with your order, email us at sales@planthropi.com with photos. Our team will assess the issue and determine the best resolution.
Do you offer bulk orders?
Yes! For orders of 10 or more items, we may be able to offer a discount. Whether for landscaping, business needs, or a large project, email us at sales@planthropi.com or chat with us online to discuss your order.
How can I hear about promotions?
Sign up for our email list to stay updated on current and upcoming promotions, like free shipping or special discounts. Subscribers also gain access to exclusive offers and fun surprises like our “random refunds day.”
My plants look droopy after unpacking—is that normal?
Yes, this is totally normal! After their journey, plants may look a little stressed. Give them some fresh air, water, and light to help them perk up. With proper care, they’ll recover and thrive in no time.
What should I do if my plant is damaged?
If the damage is minor, like a few broken leaves, your plant will likely recover with proper care. For severe damage, send us pictures at sales@planthropi.com so we can assess the situation and provide support. In some cases, we may offer a replacement or store credit.
Why don’t my plants look exactly like the pictures?
Plants are living things, and each one is unique! Variations in size, color, and shape are natural. Photos on our website showcase mature plants for illustration purposes, so the ones you receive are on their way to that growth stage.
I noticed a problem with my plant. What should I do?
If you spot any issues, email us at sales@planthropi.com with photos. We’ll work with you to assess the situation and offer care advice to help your plant thrive.
How often should I water my plants?
Watering needs vary by plant type. Generally, outdoor plants need a deep weekly watering, while most houseplants require water when the top inch of soil is dry. Check each plant’s care guide for specific instructions.
How much sunlight do my plants need?
Sunlight needs differ by plant species. Landscaping plants may need full sun or partial shade, while houseplants often thrive in bright, indirect light. Review the specific sunlight requirements provided for your plant to ensure its success.
Do you guarantee the health of your plants?
Yes, we offer a 30-day guarantee. If your plants arrive damaged or dead, contact us immediately. Proper care is essential for their success, so make sure you’re providing the right conditions based on their needs.
