Hydrangea Incrediball is a show-stopping shrub renowned for its massive, globe-shaped white blooms and sturdy, upright stems that won’t flop under the weight of its flowers. A dramatic improvement on the classic Annabelle hydrangea, Incrediball features flowers that can reach up to 12 inches across, starting lime green before maturing to pure white and aging back to soft green. Its bold, reliable performance makes it an ideal choice for foundation plantings, hedges, or as a dramatic focal point in the garden. Blooming from mid-summer to early fall, this hardy deciduous shrub delivers a powerful punch of structure and elegance with minimal maintenance.
Growth Rate and Mature Size
Growth Rate: Grows at a moderate rate, typically blooming the first full growing season after planting. Reblooms reliably on new wood each year, even after cold winters.
Mature Size: Reaches 4–5 feet tall and 4–5 feet wide. Forms a rounded, upright shape that holds its form well in the landscape and makes a statement even when not in bloom.
Watering and Sunlight
Watering: Prefers consistent moisture, especially during the growing and blooming season. Water deeply 1–2 times per week, depending on weather. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and prevent stress during hot spells.
Sunlight: Performs best in full sun to part shade. In hotter climates, provide afternoon shade to protect blooms and foliage. Full morning sun encourages strong stems and maximum bloom size.
