Stellar Ruby Magnolia (Banana Shrub)

Stellar Ruby Magnolia is a compact, evergreen flowering shrub known for its deep ruby-red buds, banana-scented blooms, and glossy green foliage. A modern hybrid of the classic banana shrub (Michelia figo), Stellar Ruby offers improved color, a tighter growth habit, and a longer blooming season—from spring through summer. The cupped, fragrant flowers appear in abundance along the stems, releasing a sweet, tropical banana-like scent that fills the garden.
